Singing lessons
Here at BALPA, we offer individual lessons from age 5-18. These lessons provide a great opportunity to learn new singing techniques, develop performing skills while also growing in confidence. We cover a wide variety of styles, from pop to musical theatre, so there is something for all.
Keys lessons
Our individual keys lessons at BALPA are the perfect choice for anyone looking to learn the basics of piano. Covering some music theory along with developing sight reading whilst also keeping it fun, this is a great option for anyone looking to learn a new instrument.
Songwriting lessons
Songwriting lessons became one of our newest additions a few years ago. Does your child love to write their own songs? Come along and try out our songwriting lessons. Or maybe you have a teenager who is needing to work on composition for exams? This is where we can help! These lessons create lots of opportunity to grow in creativity and skill while also having a lot of fun along the way.
Individual dance
Lessons are aimed at all ages and can focus on a range of dance styles from ballet and contemporary to commercial and street dance. Learning is tailored to the individual - whether this is a beginner starting out or an advanced dancer working towards their own goals at their own pace such as mastering new dance steps or improving confidence in performance. Private lessons are a great way to progress in dance ability.
Guitar
Individual Guitar lessons at BALPA are an ideal for beginners and early years students interested in learning a new instrument. In our guitar lessons students will learn how to play their favourite Rock and Pop songs whilst also covering key fundamental techniques such as learning how to read and play from Guitar TAB, scales, open chords, power chords, finger picking and riffs.
Drums
We can offer individual drums for beginners to grade 3. If your child has great rhythm or is keen on drumming but you don’t want the noise in the house, then this might be for you. Learning is tailored to each individual and focused on their ability. Please note availability for drum lessons is limited.
Musical Theatre
Covering singing, dancing and acting, these individual lessons are designed to help your child grow in confidence on stage. If they’re a budding performer, then this may be perfect for them. In lessons they will learn songs which they will then add acting and choreography too with their tutor.
